Akamai

Howdy Fam  Another week in Austin and another group of interesting people met. There is never a dull day in Austin. We meet a guy named Titus Armstrong Bentley and he was just chillin. Then we meet a preacher and this man was super nice. He was super cool and we just talked to him and he told us his story. It was great. I also weighed myself after eating 3 huge dinners in a row and come to find out I weighed 180. 1/2 to my TSAM 40. We're also excited for a baptism this Thursday which will most likely be the topic of my email next week.   So I was wondering what to talk about today and if y'all have suggestions for email topics let me know but were gonna talk about akamai and not smart but meek. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus teaches that the meek will inherit the Kingdom of God. And Moroni in the Book of Mormon teaches that without meekness and lowly of heart we can't be saved (Moroni 7:44). So what is meekness?  There is a great talk from Elder Bed...

Mana'o au e hiki ia

Howdy Fam bam Another Monday  another email. There are some whack people in Austin but it's pretty fun. On Saturday our bus driver was a preacher as well. Sunday we were walking behind a guy and he says who the F is following us. When we pass by, Elder Clark compliments his shoes and he then says he likes our fit. Then asks who we work for and sees our tags and says Dang y'all work for Jesus Christ. Those are just two of our great experiences in Austin and that doesn't  even say what happens in our apartment with habanero's. Good Times. Well last week we talked about change and the difference between the Matthew scripture and the 3 Nephi scripture is that in Matthew only Heavenly Father is perfect. In 3 Nephi both are perfect showing that Christ was resurrected and we will be resurrected just like he was. That was a cool realization. This week my study was based in pride and humility. There are some dope talks by General Authorities that talk ab...

Loli- Change

Hola Como Estas! Muy Bien. Està semana fue tan chido! Mi Nuevo Compañero se llama Elder Clark y el es muy intelligente y fuerte. Hasta Luego mi amigo's.  Eldero Park  I wish I spoke more Spanish but I hope I caught some of y'all off gaurd. I wish I spoke Spanish but that leads into this week's email. This week has seen some changes. First of all I got a new Comp Elder Clark. This man is crazy good at being a missionary and he grinds. I'm learning so much. But sadly that means Elder Pollock had left the Austin Area. The last couple days we said good bye to all the friends he has made as we prepared the area for Elder Clark. During that time I wondered why change is hard? Why do we all have some fear of change?  It made me think and come to a little more understanding. There is a scripture in Matthew 5:48 and it says be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Now I challenge you to read 3 Nephi 12:48 and tell me the difference you se...

Howdy Fam! This week was a great week. We met a lot of people and we have a baptism coming up soon. It's exciting. Also I'm staying in Austin and in my area so stay tuned for a baptism email in like 3 weeks.  Funny story of the week well I don't know if it's funny but I heard we are pretty much gonna go to war with Iran so that will be fun. It made me think of how these are the Latter-days and how many prophecies are being fulfilled. It's scary to think we are on the cusp of another huge war and Australia is burning up. There are so many things happening around us. It's hard to find peace and joy if we aren't looking in the right places. That place is to turn to Jesus Christ.  Second more uplifting spiritual thought (in a way). Some of you may know I am a huge New England Patriot fan and they lost in the playoffs this week to the Titans. That was disappointing but as I reflected on it. It was a good thing for me that they loss. Every Sunday t...
