Howdy Fam! This week was an amazing week. It was transfer week and Elder Clark is one and done in the area, meaning he was only my comp for 6 weeks. My new Comp Elder Beck is awesome.  He's 6'6 and a baller. You already know were gonna play a ton of basketball.  Another reason this week was great we had lessons on lessons on lessons. We literally went from one lesson to the next on Friday and Saturday. And the lessons were great. With one of our people we invited her to be baptized and she said yeah I think that’s what God has been telling me to do. Another person we answered her questions on the Plan of Salvation and she said that it gave her peace and happiness and hope. The spirit was so strong in those lessons.  That is really what my email is about today. Every day we learn lessons. We learn in everything. We learn what works and what doesn't work. We learn good and we learn bad. That is the purpose of life is to learn and grow. Heavenly Father wants ...

Buenos Dias (half of you are in Hawaii so it's morning) I can't believe this transfer is over it was so fast. A lot of good stuff this transfer and a lot of patience. It's amazing this was one of the best transfers but I struggled a lot. But there's a quote I forget who it's by but it talks about how trials open the way for more joy and that is so true.  This week in studies I felt enlightened. The word light in there is key. I studied light and dark. Studied some Satan to it was a fun week of studies. I studied in 2 Nephi 28 so not actually like Satanology. Anyway we have the wonderful gift of agency and we get to choose that light. There is a great talk by Elder Stanfill in October 2015 that talks about choosing the Light. It's a sick talk. What really hit me was we choose how long we are in darkness. When we are sad, angry, all of those things it's our choice. We can choose to live in darkness or light. And light is happiness, peace...

Howdy yall  Don't worry I'm alive. The snow didn't get me this time. It's pretty funny it's an event when It snows in Texas and you know yah boy had to get some pics in the snow. See below. What's funny is one of my companion’s friends called us and told us it was snowing. We would've been completely unaware. Good times in Texas.  Another cool story is a family was led to the church building we were at and wanted to learn more. They are from Hungary and the spirit lead her to learn about the church. We meet with them a couple times but sadly they live outside our area so we had to pass them off. But it just goes to show that people are being prepared and it's always so nice to see those families.  So last week I said I'd talk about the Super Bowl and it snowed and both things have to do with what I studied this week (if were being honest everything has to do with what I'm talking about). I'm talking about joy. I've talked ...

Howdy yall The more I make Hawaiian words as my subject the more exceptions to rules I see. Kristo (Christ) is the only word that has to consonants together and baptism is the only word that has a z that I've seen.  So funny story of the week before I get into baptism, the door at our apartment has been broken and it's been hard to open the door. So this week the door handle finally gave up the ghost. (See pictures at the bottom). So we've been having to do some park our and jump on the roof of the garages then on to our balcony in order to get in to our apartment. Good news is we don't have to lock the door cause no one can get in.  Alright now the more important story of the week. Isaac got baptized. He turned 9 and he's awesome. He loves reading in the Book of Mormon Stories book which is basically a picture Book of Mormon book and he found the animated cartoons of the Book of Mormon Stories. Safe to say he's a stud. He is awesome and a great ...
