Man what the nick just happened. Like literally what was this week. So coronavirus that thing is awful and because of it my companion went home for precautionary reasons. That happens on Wednesday, so I'm chilling with one of the Zone Leaders because the other Zone Leader went to be assistant. We were grinding and having some dope plans. Then Thursday night. our President calls the mission, rebukes us, then tells us we are having transfers on Saturday. 75% of the missionaries I got to know so well over the past 3 months are gone. Its a lot of change. And worse news of the week someone thought it was a good idea to give me a son.  For those of you who don't know what a son is missionaries who are new to the mission go to a training center for 3-9 weeks before going to their assigned areas. So the first 3 months of their mission is the "field" or in my case and my son's case Texas they are trained more. So I have a son now. His name is Elder Murdock and he i...

Good Morning Fam (or whatever time it is)  This was a week. As most of you know Corona virus sucks. And is growing everyday. Meaning new updates from the mission everyday. Wednesday night we were chilling trying social distancing. Thursday morning we are in Self-isolation. Fun stuff. So what does that mean? It means we are to do 95% of our missionary work online. The 5% we do not online is sacrament and baptisms but even those have guidelines. So what does that mean, time to get creative with online proselyting.  Then come to find out on Friday my comp has to go home because of corona virus. A lot has happened. But everything happens for a reason.  I think my message today is about being creative and finding success in the circumstances we are given. I was talking to a greenie (a new missionary) the other day and we discussed what success is. But this is a weird time many of us have to stay home meaning in work and school things are different. There is a really good song by One republic that I want to listen to but can't so y'all should it's called I lived.  Howdy my friends  Let me tell you it's been a crazy week. There wasn't a day that didn't have a story. I also got really trunky this week. For those who don't know what that means it means man I missed home a little. But found so much joy in the work it was amazing. I know I don't usually go through my week but it will al make sense in the end I promise.  Monday: P-day was awesome got to feel sand in my feet again playing some sand volleyball it was so fun.  Tuesday: had Zone Conference which was great and had dinner with one of my favorite families the Lea's.  Wednesday: Turned the ripe old age of 20 that was fun. Had lunch with Chuck. He s the man. And had dinner with another one of my favorite families Familia Ortiz  Thursday: The church announced no church on Sunday due to the Corona virus.  ...

Ulu Ka'i'o

Gooooiiiiioooooooddddddddd Moooooooooorrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggg vvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeetttttttttnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmm.  I apologize that wa s a quote but I know none of y'all are in Vietnam but hey were happy. This was probably the best week of my mission not because everything was good but because of the growth in Faith. Just like this will be the best 2 years of my life not because it's the easiest and I have fun (I do) but it will be the best two years because of the growth in Faith. So what happen.  Monday was a great night with some great lessons. Then Tuesday Wednesday, and Thursday literally nothing went to plan. All lessons cancelled. It was awful.
