Ulu Ka'i'o


Gooooiiiiioooooooddddddddd Moooooooooorrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggg vvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeetttttttttnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmm. 

I apologize that was a quote but I know none of y'all are in Vietnam but hey were happy. This was probably the best week of my mission not because everything was good but because of the growth in Faith. Just like this will be the best 2 years of my life not because it's the easiest and I have fun (I do) but it will be the best two years because of the growth in Faith. So what happen. 

Monday was a great night with some great lessons. Then Tuesday Wednesday, and Thursday literally nothing went to plan. All lessons cancelled. It was awful. But there's is a poem Elder Budge said in the last conference. 

“Sorrow prepares you for joy. It violently sweeps everything out of your house, so that new joy can find space to enter. It shakes the yellow leaves from the bough of your heart, so that fresh, green leaves can grow in their place. It pulls up the rotten roots, so that new roots hidden beneath have room to grow. Whatever sorrow shakes from your heart, far better things will take their place.”
President Russell M. Nelson taught, “The joy the Savior offers [us] … is constant, assuring us that our ‘afflictions shall be but a small moment’ [Doctrine and Covenants 121:7] and be consecrated to our gain.” Our trials and afflictions can make space for greater joy. 
That is what happen. So much joy filled me as we changed plans and followed the Lord's direction. He put in Elder Beck and my mind to go finding in a complex and we found someone. Then we jumped on a bus and saw an investigator we hadn't been able to see in like a week.
So message of the week. Trust in the Lord. I had been very prideful and not trusting the Lord and I got rebuked. This week has showed that when we are obedient to his promptings and trust his will he will bless us. My Faith has grown so much this week and I am so happy because of it. I invite you to read consistent and Resilient Trust by Elder Budge and to build your Faith and trust in the Lord.
