Iesu Kristo

So this week all of our lessons but one canceled. So we've had to go to plan B, C, D, and even E. When it gets to that point it can be discouraging. So this week has definitely been a week that I've needed to rely on Jesus. On the day we went to our plan E we were able to find someone and enjoy our time being missionaries.  So last week we talked about being fearless. And this ties into this week message. Fear is the opposite of faith. We need not fear anything when we have Faith and put our trust in Jesus Christ. The cool story from this week was when I was giving a talk and it was going well. But, when I started talking about Jesus Christ and relying on him the feeling changed. My talk was going well but when I focused on Christ it felt better. When we focus on Jesus Christ our life will be better no matter where we are in life. One of my favorite scriptures is Alma 7:11 y'all should read that.  Love y'all hope you are doing good. Thanks fo...

Well y'all know Star Wars is the best so we're starting with a quote by the best teacher in the history of cinema (I know Jesus is the best teacher in general but I mean movies), master Yoda. "Fear leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to the dark side. Hmmmmm" (I'm sorry if it's not a perfect quote missionaries can't just search these things up.  Anyway recap of the week. Saturday and Sunday were pretty fun. Saturday we asked "How are you?" To this guy and he straight flipped us off. Then Sunday night we were walking and this other guy almost got into a crash and because he was looking at us. He might have pointed something but who knows. Good times. I'm alive and safe we're all good.  So what'd we talk about last week I forget. Ahhh being happy. That's a good segway into this week because being happy is a mindset. We can choose to be happy in any situation. One thing that brings me happiness even...

Howdy Fam It's been a great week this week. Why, because of happiness. We can find happiness in every situation. Cool story this week. W e t alked to some guy, who was most likely high. It was a really funny convo but in it he called my comp a white brother and me an "olive color brother." He was black and I almost got called black. So close. On Tuesday we went door knocking to try and find less active. We went to a complex and a lady told my comp and I we were using the wrong picture of Jesus and we wouldn't recognize him when he comes and because of it we're not going to Heaven. Then we ran into a less active we were told not to contact by ourselves and he was real mad. Safe to say I was mad after those t w o experiences. But then we met this guy named Dafala and it was so funny. But he asked the greatest question that I love when people ask. “ What can you say to persuade me to join your church? ” I love that question because there are so ma...

Man no one told me Texas got cold. Man, I was freezing this past week. Wearing long sleeve shirts and a sweater and I was still cold. My companion is from Canada and he said it was colder in Texas than where he is from. It was awful. I missed the 100 degree weather. Not really.   Last week we talked about love and there is so much to say about love but I'm gonna focus on the 2 greatest commandments. (Matthew 22:37-39) Love the Lord thy God and love thy neighbor. There is a reason we must love the Lord first. When we love God we are able to feel his love for us. When we feel his love we want to share that love with others. Lehi in the tree of life vision wanted his family to partake of the fruit. The fruit is the love of God and what I just said when we partake of it we want others to partake of it as well. Love is something we all need to master. Now charity if someone wants to know what I think about charity, that’s a side convo.  This week we talked a lot abou...
