Howdy Fam

It's been a great week this week. Why, because of happiness. We can find happiness in every situation. Cool story this week. We talked to some guy, who was most likely high. It was a really funny convo but in it he called my comp a white brother and me an "olive color brother." He was black and I almost got called black. So close.

On Tuesday we went door knocking to try and find less active. We went to a complex and a lady told my comp and I we were using the wrong picture of Jesus and we wouldn't recognize him when he comes and because of it we're not going to Heaven. Then we ran into a less active we were told not to contact by ourselves and he was real mad. Safe to say I was mad after those two experiences. But then we met this guy named Dafala and it was so funny. But he asked the greatest question that I love when people ask. “What can you say to persuade me to join your church?”

I love that question because there are so many words we can say to persuade someone but that's not how we want people to become members. We answered him and said, “nothing but if you read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it's true you that's how you'll be persuaded. The spirit will testify of the truthfulness of the gospel.”

Another part of that story is that I needed someone to ask me that question I needed something uplifting and the Lord knew that. He put Dafala in front of me so I wouldn't be stuck on the past two contacts. Heavenly Father knows and loves us. He knows what we need and he will put those people in our way. 

Last week I asked y'all to read a couple chapters in Alma and I hope y'all saw the importance of planning in there. Cool story that Tuesday we planned to contact some less actives like I said above. We went to this one apartment and a lady answered. We were looking for someone different but she was a member and she told us she was thinking about going back to church that day. Coincidence, I think not. Because we planned, Heavenly Father prepared her with the thought of going to church. It was a cool experience. 

This week I invite all to find happiness in all things. I think we did this before but we can be happy, we just have to choose to be happy. Read Romans 5:1-5. 

I love y'all and appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. I'm not dead so we're good. Hope y'all are safe and having a good time.

Hola Mi Amigos  So apparently I'm instagram famous now so please I don't do autographs except for sizable donations to my missionary funds. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, last week I talked about meeting this guy named Elder Ulissses S. Soares. A Hui Hou Austin Ward

Good morning y'all  We got transfer news yesterday and I'm getting transferred up north more to Pflugerville. I'm still close to Austin just a little higher. I have mixed emotions about it, but I know it's where the Lord needs me and it's a good change. I will miss all the people and relationships that I've made here. It's sad to think about leaving so many people but I know it is not the end. I may never see any of these people again in this life but that's alright. (I'll probably be back at some point though).  Where am I going with this. To be honest I don't know I'm kind of just typing. But A hui hou means goodbye in Hawaii but hui means gather and hou means new. So, the literal meaning is until we meet again. And that is so true although we say goodbye to those we love, we will meet them again. There is a life after this. Jesus Christ is real. His atonement is real. Waihoʻi kūʻokoʻa

Good Morning Fam (or whatever time it is)  This was a week. As most of you know Corona virus sucks. And is growing everyday. Meaning new updates from the mission everyday. Wednesday night we were chilling trying social distancing. Thursday morning we are in Self-isolation. Fun stuff. So what does that mean? It means we are to do 95% of our missionary work online. The 5% we do not online is sacrament and baptisms but even those have guidelines. So what does that mean, time to get creative with online proselyting.  Then come to find out on Friday my comp has to go home because of corona virus. A lot has happened. But everything happens for a reason.  I think my message today is about being creative and finding success in the circumstances we are given. I was talking to a greenie (a new missionary) the other day and we discussed what success is. But this is a weird time many of us have to stay home meaning in work and school things are different.
