Wiwo'ole

Well y'all know Star Wars is the best so we're starting with a quote by the best teacher in the history of cinema (I know Jesus is the best teacher in general but I mean movies), master Yoda. "Fear leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to the dark side. Hmmmmm" (I'm sorry if it's not a perfect quote missionaries can't just search these things up.

Anyway recap of the week. Saturday and Sunday were pretty fun. Saturday we asked "How are you?" To this guy and he straight flipped us off. Then Sunday night we were walking and this other guy almost got into a crash and because he was looking at us. He might have pointed something but who knows. Good times. I'm alive and safe we're all good.

So what'd we talk about last week I forget. Ahhh being happy. That's a good segway into this week because being happy is a mindset. We can choose to be happy in any situation. One thing that brings me happiness even in trials is knowing someone loves me. I know all of y'all love me and I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me. When we feel loved we can be happy. I love all of you.

So Wiwo 'ole means fearless. And I'm not gonna lie this week I was kind of scared which is funny because we talked about being courageous in our District Council. The instant I started to fear the spirit was gone and fear gives me a bad feeling in inside. Doubt and Faith cannot coexist. So how do we have the Faith (how do we have the lightside of the force) to overcome the fear and we aren't persuaded to the dark side? That's my invitation to think how do we be fearless?
A couple scriptures I like is Hebrew 11:24-27 which talks about Moses having Faith to overcome fears of men. And D&C 6:36 which literally says "doubt not, fear not."

Love y'all
