Pā Nui a me hau
Howdy yall
Don't worry I'm alive. The snow
didn't get me this time. It's pretty funny it's an event when It snows in Texas
and you know yah boy had to get some pics in the snow. See below. What's funny
is one of my companion’s friends called us and told us it was snowing. We
would've been completely unaware. Good times in Texas.
Another cool story is a family was
led to the church building we were at and wanted to learn more. They are from
Hungary and the spirit lead her to learn about the church. We meet with them a
couple times but sadly they live outside our area so we had to pass them off.
But it just goes to show that people are being prepared and it's always so nice
to see those families.
So last week I said I'd talk about
the Super Bowl and it snowed and both things have to do with what I studied
this week (if were being honest everything has to do with what I'm talking about).
I'm talking about joy. I've talked about this before but I really liked the
study I had this week. Elder Bednar gave a devotional in December 2018 where he
talks about joy. Elder Christofferson had a talk in this October 2019 General
conference that was amazing. Both talked about how we find joy in keeping the
commandments of God.
So what does this have to do with
the Super Bowl and Snow? I have found so many emotions from the Super Bowl. A
lot of anger, a lot of tears and a whole lot of happiness. But what really
brings me joy when it comes to super Sunday is the time I get to spend with my
friends and family. In 2014 season when the Patriots beat the Seahawks I
watched it with my uncle and my grandparents and it made it so much better. Why,
because family brings me joy.
And snow is a similar story. I had a
lot of fun when it snowed but there wasn't any joy. But that joy comes when we
are able to share that time with others. My family and friends specifically. I
don't really like the cold but it's so much better with others. That's what
brings me joy being able to share happiness with others.
I love y'all, hope you are out there
finding some fun but also finding joy in what you do.
