I wish I spoke more Spanish but I
hope I caught some of y'all off gaurd. I wish I spoke Spanish but that leads
into this week's email. This week has seen some changes. First of all I got a
new Comp Elder Clark. This man is crazy good at being a missionary and he
grinds. I'm learning so much. But sadly that means Elder Pollock had left the
Austin Area. The last couple days we said good bye to all the friends he has
made as we prepared the area for Elder Clark. During that time I wondered why
change is hard? Why do we all have some fear of change?
It made me think and come to a
little more understanding. There is a scripture in Matthew 5:48 and it says be
ye therefore perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Now I challenge
you to read 3 Nephi 12:48 and tell me the difference you see. It speaks so much
in it. But any way Raise your hand if you're perfect. Jake and Jonah put your
hands down. None of us are perfect we all need to change in order to become
perfect. God and Jesus Christ want us to be like them. But we can't right now.
So why is it so hard to change? Chill I'm getting to that
Satan cannot progress any more. He
doesn't have a body and he didn't come to Earth with a physical body. Therefore
he can't become like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. A water dam stops
water from flowing right. I hope it does but if it doesn't keep the anology
going. Satan is the same way with his progression. Satan is "damned"
The scriptures warn us that we will be damned to hell. What does that mean. It
means that we will stop progressing.
What does that have to do with
change? I'm getting there. Satan doesn't want us to change so we become
miserable like him. The hardest times in our life involve change. And the
hardest changes are the best changes. And the best changes leads to Heavenly
Father and Happiness.
Hope that made sense but I love you
all, I'm grateful for your prayers and everything y'all do. Feel free to email
me the difference in Matthew 5:48 and 3 Nephi 12:48 and if I remember I will
talk about that next week. Till next time dueces.
