Howdy Fam Bam

Another week of self isolation but Texas is starting to open up! This was low key a pretty rad week. Also I'm trying to say rad instead of dope. Anyway we got to do a lot of service and it was a lot of destruction. The best kind of service. We took apart a little children's playground and on Saturday we did some insane yard work. It was a good week. Oh yeah and Elder Villareal (the guy in the background of my Facebook picture) talked the mission. It was very uplifting to hear him talk and share his knowledge. 

But lately the Texas San Antonio mission has been talking a lot about obedience. We have 15 missionaries being reassigned to our mission today and next week about 8 new missionaries. And so we want to show that we are an obedient mission. And that all good but I think the mission is missing one part, diligence (kakama). I think we take diligence for granted sometimes and it gets lost but diligence is just as important. 

We all want to be happy and the Book of Mormon gives us a recipe to be happy. We're gonna do some quick maths in. Alright lets go to 2 Nephi 5. What's 2x5? 10 sweet verse 10 says 
"10 And we did observe to keep the judgments, and the statutes, and the commandments of the Lord in all things, according to the law of Moses." The people We're obedient. Now 2+5=? Ah 7 lets add 7 to 10 that's 17 oh verse 17 is nice too. 
"17 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did cause my people to be industrious, and to labor with their hands" not only were the people obedient but they labored industriously and worked hard." 
Alright now 10+17=? If you said 27 you're on the right track lets see verse 27 
"27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness." 

Happiness comes when we are obedient but also when we work hard. When we put our head down and go to work we'll be blessed. Alright last part of this. Nephi doesn't say anything about the circumstances the Nephites were in but what they did. No matter what our circumstances are when we are obedient and we work hard is when we will be able to happy no matter what. 

So what are y'all gonna do. Put your head down and go to work! Whether it's school or work or being on the mission working hard brings success. And Then relax and enjoy life enjoy the happiness you feel as you work hard.

Hola Mi Amigos  So apparently I'm instagram famous now so please I don't do autographs except for sizable donations to my missionary funds. A Hui Hou Austin Ward

Good morning y'all  We got transfer news yesterday and I'm getting transferred up north more to Pflugerville. I'm still close to Austin just a little higher. I have mixed emotions about it, but I know it's where the Lord needs me and it's a good change. I will miss all the people and relationships that I've made here. It's sad to think about leaving so many people but I know it is not the end. I may never see any of these people again in this life but that's alright. (I'll probably be back at some point though).  Where am I going with this. To be honest I don't know I'm kind of just typing. But A hui hou means goodbye in Hawaii but hui means gather and hou means new. So, the literal meaning is until we meet again. And that is so true although we say goodbye to those we love, we will meet them again. There is a life after this. Jesus Christ is real. His atonement is real. Waihoʻi kūʻokoʻa

Good Morning Fam (or whatever time it is)  This was a week. As most of you know Corona virus sucks. And is growing everyday. Meaning new updates from the mission everyday. Wednesday night we were chilling trying social distancing. Thursday morning we are in Self-isolation. Fun stuff. So what does that mean? It means we are to do 95% of our missionary work online. The 5% we do not online is sacrament and baptisms but even those have guidelines. So what does that mean, time to get creative with online proselyting.  Then come to find out on Friday my comp has to go home because of corona virus. A lot has happened. But everything happens for a reason.  I think my message today is about being creative and finding success in the circumstances we are given. I was talking to a greenie (a new missionary) the other day and we discussed what success is. But this is a weird time many of us have to stay home meaning in work and school things are different.
