Haahaa


Let me tell you. This was a week. 

But to start, a question:. What does it mean to be humble?

As y'all know I got my transfer news on Sunday night and I was pretty disappointed. With a transfer means a new companion and let me tell you my new companion Elder Pollock is a stud. This man works and I like it. He's also Canadian so he's a nice dude. Yes, I am pretty close to the university of Texas and on Saturday we did service and all I saw was burnt orange. I don't know how I feel about it yet but I am in a totally different area than my last area. I went from a higher end, neighborhood with 2 very strong wards and members to a not as well off and not as strong ward. I was surprised when I looked at all the leadership of the ward and the Bishop's wife is Young Women's president, the Primary presidentʻs husband is the Elder Quorum President and the Relief Society President's husband is the Sunday School President. (That usually doesn't happen). 

It was an interesting switch. So I got to my new area on Thursday and apparently the night before every missionary in Austin had a conference call because Elder Ulysses S. Soares was coming. (He is one of the leaders of the church). He spoke to us in the morning and in the afternoon he went to the Central Texas Food bank where It just so happens the district I was in was doing service. It was a super cool opportunity to meet him and I got a picture with him. He's a really nice man. He said somethings that I have been thinking about, everything we do in life prepares us for what's next in life. My mission is preparing me for the next stages of life. It was really cool to hear him speak. 

I forgot to answer what I think faith is and it is everything. Everything in the gospel involves faith. That's why faith is so important. I like Alma 32:21 "if he have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." We all hope for things. 

Back to the question at the beginning, so in studies I was reading in Alma 32 and he talks about the people being humble and that's why they are ready to receive the gospel. But what is being humble? Point to ponder

2. We played some pros frisbee and they voted me mvp so I got the golden disk idk how I got it. 
3. This was my last district they were amazing.

5.  That was a Texas rainstorm at its nicest. It only rained for about 15 minutes but it was dumping.

Hola Mi Amigos  So apparently I'm instagram famous now so please I don't do autographs except for sizable donations to my missionary funds. A Hui Hou Austin Ward

Good morning y'all  We got transfer news yesterday and I'm getting transferred up north more to Pflugerville. I'm still close to Austin just a little higher. I have mixed emotions about it, but I know it's where the Lord needs me and it's a good change. I will miss all the people and relationships that I've made here. It's sad to think about leaving so many people but I know it is not the end. I may never see any of these people again in this life but that's alright. (I'll probably be back at some point though).  Where am I going with this. To be honest I don't know I'm kind of just typing. But A hui hou means goodbye in Hawaii but hui means gather and hou means new. So, the literal meaning is until we meet again. And that is so true although we say goodbye to those we love, we will meet them again. There is a life after this. Jesus Christ is real. His atonement is real. And it was for us that we can say until we meet again.  ...

Waihoʻi kūʻokoʻa

Good Morning Fam (or whatever time it is)  This was a week. As most of you know Corona virus sucks. And is growing everyday. Meaning new updates from the mission everyday. Wednesday night we were chilling trying social distancing. Thursday morning we are in Self-isolation. Fun stuff. So what does that mean? It means we are to do 95% of our missionary work online. The 5% we do not online is sacrament and baptisms but even those have guidelines. So what does that mean, time to get creative with online proselyting.  Then come to find out on Friday my comp has to go home because of corona virus. A lot has happened. But everything happens for a reason.  I think my message today is about being creative and finding success in the circumstances we are given. I was talking to a greenie (a new missionary) the other day and we discussed what success is. But this is a weird time many of us have to stay home meaning in work and school things are different.
